Transfer of Chinese language textbooks to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On September 19, 2024 in the building of the Ministry of Pre-school and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Liu Zhiguang, General Director of JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC and Mr. Usman Sharifkhodjaev, First Deputy Minister and officials from both sides met. During the meeting the issues of cooperation in the field of education were discussed. The First Deputy Minister in his speech noted that the country’s leadership pays special attention to the education of future generations and the introduction of learning a second foreign language in educational institutions of Uzbekistan. Already about 400 students have started studying Chinese as a second foreign language, which testifies to the growing interest in Chinese culture and language and the aspiration of young people for international cooperation.

The First Deputy Minister also expressed gratitude to the Management of JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC for the charitable assistance provided by the company in the field of education in Bukhara and Navoi regions, as well as in Tashkent, helping to create comfortable conditions for teachers and students. Mr. Liu Zhiguang, General Director of JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC, made a response speech. He emphasized the importance of providing assistance to educational institutions to strengthen cultural and educational ties between the two countries. The donation of textbooks and practical manuals on Chinese language will undoubtedly enrich the knowledge of Uzbek schoolchildren and allow them to get acquainted with the rich linguistic culture of China. Mr. Liu Zhiguang expressed confidence that learning foreign languages, especially such important ones as Chinese, will contribute to the expansion of educational horizons and help form a global mindset among the youth. At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a textbook donation agreement, and a certificate for the transfer of Chinese language textbooks was presented to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education by JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC. Both sides expressed their mutual gratitude for the fruitful discussion and hoped for further cooperation in the field of education.

From health to education and sports: how JV “Asia Trans gas” LLC supports social initiatives

For over sixteen years the Uzbek and Chinese JV “Aisa Trans Gas” LLC, established based on the Foundation agreement between JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” from Uzbek side and Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited from Chinese side, responsible for the construction and operation of “Uzbekistan-China” gas pipeline, has been demonstrating a consistent commitment to fulfilling its social responsibilities and engaging in active charitable activities within the Republic of Uzbekistan. These efforts are aimed at improving lives of communities living along the trunk gas pipeline and facilitating social and economic development of the region. The company believes that the true strength of the team lies not only in its success in the market, but also in sincere help to those in need.  

Caring for people with disabilities  

Asia Trans Gas actively supports the government’s initiative aimed at assistance to people with disabilities. At the request of the Agency for social protection of Bukhara region the Company handed over electrical wheelchairs to those in need. Each one of these wheelchairs can change lives and give people back the joy of independent mobility. 

Support to health sector in remote locations  

Healthcare is one of the priority areas for Asia Trans Gas. The Company transferred necessary medical equipment and supplies to health care facilities of Bukhara region. This equipment enables medical professionals to deliver high-quality, timely care. The company's objective is to ensure that every individual, even in very remote location, has access to the assistance and care they require.  

 Support to education and sports  

In honor of the National holiday of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Independence Day” and the new school year Asia Trans Gas is taking care of children. The Company is happy to transfer to School №199 of Uchtepa district of Tashkent city with inclusive method of education new school equipment, sports equipment and household appliances. These gifts will help create a comfortable learning environment for children.  

Asia Trans Gas is committed to supporting education and sports initiatives in Bukhara region. School №19 of Jondor district of Bukhara region has been provided with furniture and office equipment, which will make learning more convenient. Seeing the delight on the faces of children and their parents is a real reward for the Company's employees. 

Asia Trans Gas transferred equipped containers for organizing a buffet to two comprehensive schools № 27 and №10 in Navoiy region. They include an electric stove, water boiler, kitchen and canteen furniture, refrigerator, air conditioning and a water cooler. We believe that such equipped space will create comfortable conditions for organizing meals for children and improve school infrastructure.  

In addition, Asia Trans Gas donated to Bukhara department of table tennis federation the required equipment and sporting appliances and believes that this will help young athletes develop their sporting talents and prepare for greater achievements.

Joint implementation of the “Lu Ban Workshop” project for win-win development of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative

JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC donated computers and office equipment to the Tashkent State Transport University in Uzbekistan within the framework of the “Lu Ban Workshop” project implementation

In order to further improve the quality of implementation of the "Lu Ban Workshop" project in Uzbekistan, on December 21, Tashkent State Transport University hosted the inauguration of the Center for Education, Research, Dissemination of Engineering Practice and Innovation Projects (EPIP), as well as the ceremony of donation of modern computer and office equipment to equip the university's research laboratories. The event was attended by JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC (hereinafter referred to as “ATG”).

ATG General Director Liu Zhiguang spoke on behalf of the joint venture during the event and noted that 2023 is the 10th anniversary year of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Chinese President Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony of the Third International Forum on Cooperation under the “One Belt, One Road” initiative proposed to jointly promote landmark projects as well as “small but excellent” projects for the welfare of the people, among which “Lu Ban Workshop” is one of the landmark projects to promote Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in vocational education in China and Uzbekistan. As a key company for energy cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, ATG comprehensively supports the development strategy of “New Uzbekistan” proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, takes various measures and plans to actively promote the implementation of “Lu Ban Workshop” project in Uzbekistan, contributing to the profound and practical promotion of the “Digital Silk Road”.

At this event, ATG donated computers, printers, furniture and other educational and office equipment to Tashkent State Transport University for the amount of UZX 500 million, and plans to further donate equipment and devices for the university's laboratories. The aim of this project is to create a platform for high quality vocational education exchange between Uzbekistan and China. Through a combination of basic training and practice, students from Uzbekistan are provided with opportunities to promote entrepreneurship, employability of Uzbek university graduates and the development of highly qualified technical specialists, which are essential to ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the region.
