31st meeting of the Coordination Committee on operation of the “Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China” Gas Pipeline

On September 9-13, the 31st regular meeting of the Coordination Committee for the operation of the “Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China” gas pipeline was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The meeting of the Coordination Committee was attended by the countries - permanent participants: Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and China. JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC was represented by members of the top management Mr. Liu Zhiguang, General Director, Mr. Azizov M.A., First Deputy General Director, Mr. Rakhmatullaev J.B., Deputy General Director on Administrative affairs. Within the framework of the meeting the key issues of operation of the main gas pipeline “Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China” were considered. The participants discussed current issues and put forward recommendations on the volume of gas supplies and further operation of the gas pipeline.

Following the results of the meeting, the Minutes were drawn up, in which a detailed schedule of maintenance and repair of the main gas pipeline for the 4th quarter of 2024 and the 1st quarter of 2025 was outlined. A natural gas supply and transportation plan was also developed for these quarters, with price breakdowns by month based on the current demand for natural gas in China. This discussion was an important step toward improving operational efficiency and security of supply, which in turn strengthens cooperation between the participating countries. At the end of the meeting, the flag for the 32nd meeting of the Coordination Committee for the operation of the “Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China” Gas Pipeline was handed over to representatives of JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC. This meeting is planned to be held in Uzbekistan.
